Worldwide, an estimated 17 to 24 million people are affected by ME/CFS. The illness often manifests in young adults, frequently following an acute infection.

The WE&ME Foundation is dedicated to advancing research, recognition, and awareness of this still poorly understood and complex disease. Their mission is to create understanding, ensure proper support — and one day, find a cure.
